Maintenance and Repair
INTRAROM provides maintenance and support services for all components of the systems delivered. The Service Department become operational in 1993, as country wide local support facility for the systems delivered within the projects of the INTRACOM Group, and today provides these types of services in more than 1800 locations. Following an increase of its volume of work, the Service Department is continously extending, both in terms of human and technical resources.
The main competence areas of the Service Department are following:
- Installation, control, maintenance and periodic check-ups of the LT terminals of the National Lottery and repairs of broken sub-assemblies in its own laboratory.
- Installation, technical support and maintenance, at request, of the digital multiplexors and also repairs of broken multiplexors in the warranty and post-warranty period.
- Installation, technical support and repairs of more than 40.000 public cardphones in the entire country.
- Installation and maintenance of fiscal cash registers. Currently this department provides maintenance of more than 3.400 such equipment, of various types.
- Installation and technical support for general IT and telecommunication equipment
- Installation and technical support for data transmission networks.
The department structure covers all the above-mentioned activities.
In order to provide a global coverage of the existing users requirements, the service department developed a national network, equipped with highly qualified personnel, vehicles and also equipment and components. The present service department of INTRAROM is structured on three levels.
The central level is situated in the company's central office in Bucharest. The main facilities are testing and repairs laboratory, main deposit of spare parts, support service, high level back-up equipment, back-up transportation means and general administration.
The second level is situated in 6 big cities: Bihor, Iasi, Constanta, Galati, Cluj, Craiova. In each of them there are 2 permanently available engineers, regional components stocks and some back-up systems.
The third level is represented by 28 local offices with one permanent technician/engineer. Each such office has a car, electronic and mechanic repair tools and spare parts.
The service personnel is highly qualified in the field, all coming from the fact that from a total of 49 employees, 29 are engineers, 4 are sub-engineers and 16 technicians.
