Corporate Overview
Established in 1993, INTRAROM is part of INTRACOM Group of Companies - the largest Greek new technologies company with domestic and international activity. It engineers products, provides services and undertakes complex and integrated large-scale technology projects across the four basic economy sectors: telecommunications, e-government, public administration, banking & finance, and defense.
INTRAROM's activity covers production of electronic and telecommunication equipment, software development, implementation and maintenance services.
The Company's facilities are located in Bucharest and cover a total area of 21,000 sqm for production floor, warehousing and offices.
INTRAROM evolution was based on long-term cooperation with important clients.
The cooperation with the National Lottery started in 1993, INTRAROM becoming the sole provider of Lotto Terminals. Currently, apart current maintenance and technical support activities, the cooperation is expanding, INTRAROM being the main contractor for the National Lottery development programs: VSAT network, Video Lottery and on-line betting, SAP implementation.
Another traditional partner of the Company is Romtelecom, the National Telecom Operator. The first main projects implemented for Romtelecom were Cardphone system (terminals, chip-in-cards, Management System) and Call Collection (up-grade of analogue exchanges). Starting with 1999, as local subcontractor of INTRACOM, INTRAROM was involved in manufacturing and implementation of Romtelecom digitization program launched in 1999 (switching, transmission, access network). Other products manufactured for Romtelecom are: PCM systems, HDSL modems, ISDN network terminals.
Company's experience in mobile telephony was acquired by implementing Cosmorom's GSM network together with INTRACOM and Ericsson. INTRAROM ran a turn-key project as General Entrepreneur.
INTRACOM is the largest client for the products manufactured by INTRAROM, and acquires the majority of the production output.
Currently, INTRAROM has enriched its skills as System Integrator through the contracts concluded with TRANSELECTRICA, Bucharest City Hall, Artelecom, General Inspectorate for Communications and Information Technology , National Statistics Institute and others.
At the same time, software development is one of the directions promoted, addressing local clients and joint projects with INTRACOM.
2004 financial performance of INTRAROM improved compared with previous year as a result of increasing customer diversification as well as implementation of a cost saving and re-structuring program. Years 2002-2004 were for INTRAROM a period of company consolidation and business strategy definition, so that 2005 to mark the transition to a new growth phase.

INTRAROM success relies on the politics of human resources promoted since the foundation of the company.
The company started its activity in 1993 with 47 employees and recorded a fast pace of growth. Today the number of employees amounts 570, out of which 40 employees hold master degree works, 297 are university graduates and 273 high-school and technical school graduates. Its cohesion is sustained by the average age of employees: 35 y.o. - a blend of flexibility and matureness.

From the very beginning, INTRAROM focused on ensuring top quality products and services, so INTRAROM was among the first IT and Telecom companies to implement a Quality System.
The Quality Management System is now certified according to ISO 9001:2000 standard, by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI), Defense Ministry Certification Body (OMCAS) and Romanian Society for Quality Assurance (SRAC) certification bodies. Adopting the Quality Management Principles emphasizes company's targeting to excellence. In order to provide technical assistance and service countrywide coverage of the existing users requirements, the present service department of INTRAROM is structured on three levels.
The central level is situated at the company's central office in Bucharest. The main facilities are testing and repairs laboratory, main warehouse for spare parts, high level back-up equipment and transportation means.
The second level is divided in 6 big cities, Bihor, Iasi, Constanta, Galati, Cluj, Craiova. In each there are 2 permanently available engineers, regional components stocks and some back-up systems.
The third level is represented by 28 local offices with one permanent technician-engineer.

THE GROUP
The INTRACOM Group of companies is comprised of an international network of independent companies specializing in the design and implementation of integrated telecom projects, the development and integration of IT systems and networks, the production of telecommunication equipment, the development of application software and the provision of services, as well as in the manufacture of steel structures and electromechanical equipment, energy production, construction, the development of integrated lottery systems and real estate development.
